Call for Workshop Proposals

WCRE 2008 offers you the opportunity to organize a full or half day workshop devoted to a reverse engineering or reengineering topic.
Workshops will be held in coordination with the WCRE 2008 schedule.
WCRE 2008 workshops are characterized by a focused topic, lively discussion, and enthusiastic participants.
Typical group size is between 10 and 20 participants.

Researchers interested in organizing a WCRE 2008 workshop should submit a workshop proposal of at most two pages. Proposals are in IEEE proceedings format and should include:

  • the workshop name
  • organizers
  • length of the workshop (full day or half day)
  • goals
  • research topics addressed
  • paper selection criteria and mechanism
  • discussion format
  • expected outcomes
  • expected follow ups

and other issues that could be relevant to the workshop.

Workshop proposals will be judged on originality, relevance to the field of reverse engineering, expected level of interest in the topic, and the organizers' ability to lead a successful workshop.

Submit a 1-2 pages proposal in IEEE proceedings format to the workshop chairs Martin Pinzger (pinzger at ifi dot uzh dot ch) and Daniel M. German (dmg at uvic dot ca). Accepted proposals will be published in the WCRE 2008 proceedings.
