In March 2013, Martin Pinzger moved to the University of Klagenfurt
in Austria where he is a Full Professor of Software Engineering leading the Alpen-Adria Software Engineering Research Group (SERG)
. Previous to that Martin Pinzger has been an Assistant Professor in the Software Engineering Research Group at the Delft University of Technology from which he obtained tenure in 2012. His research interests are in software engineering with focus on software maintenance and evolution, software quality analysis, collaborative software engineering, repository mining, software visualization, program analysis, and empirical studies
In 2012, Martin Pinzger was the recipient of an NWO Vidi grant, one of the most prestigious Dutch individual research awards, for his proposal on fine-grained software project memory. He is a co-founder of the TU Delft start-up Infotron that specializes in spreadsheet analysis. He is a member of IEEE and ACM.
