Context and details
The 5th edition of the BElgian-NEtherlands software eVOLution workshop (BENEVOL 2006) will take place at the Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands. The two-day workshop will be held on Monday 11 and Tuesday 12 December 2006.
To the extent possible, we encourage participants in their contributions to highlight the cross-fertilisation between the "reengineering of webapplications" and that of "software restructuring and software evolution" on the one hand, and the following (non-limited) list of domains on the other hand:
Restructuring web applications via Aspect-Oriented Software Development.
How can Aspect-Oriented Software Development techniques be used to advance the state-of-the-art in restructuring web applications? Are aspects just a means, or are they a goal?
Building web applications through Model Driven Engineering (MDE) and restructuring web applications with the help of Model Driven Reengineering (MDR).
How can MDE help in building web applications with new paradigms such as Ajax or how can MDR help in restructuring exising web applications towards e.g. Ajax.
How can aspect-oriented applications be evolved?
How can aspect-oriented applications be restructured and evolved? Do typical patterns or refactorings exist?
How can we migrate non aspect-oriented applications towards aspect-oriented applications?
Evolution in general.
Techniques to ease the evolution of (legacy) applications, (industrial) case studies, etc.
If your are interested in giving a talk at this workshop, please let us know by mail to email@example.com and send in an (extended) abstract containing your (wild) ideas.
The deadline for the (extended) abstracts is November 1st, 2006.
